Wanted: Readers’ Panel members

The executive sponsor of a bid that one of our colleagues has been managing circulated a note to the team last week, congratulating them on their work on the proposal that had just been submitted. It started:

“Dead Team,
I just wanted to write to thank you…”

Needless to say, the correction followed close behind:

“I obviously meant ‘Dear’ and not ‘Dead’”

That said, there are times when you’ve worked up to the wire to get the document together when the original phrase may feel just a tad too close to the truth!

I’d love to be considered for panelist participation, particularly as pertains to proposals. As you can see, I’m really good at alliteration, but if that’s not reason enough to select me, I also have almost seven years of proposal writing and database management experience.

Of course, if this were The Proposal View (as suggested by Barbara), I’d have to fill the role of Camera Man 3, as I don’t have the clothing budget to appear on network television. Still, though, I think I’d make a bang-up panelist/Camera Man 3.

Panelist participation possibilities particularly please proposal professionals. Lisa, does that do as an alliteration?!

Robin, Lesa, Lisa – consider yourselves duly en-panelled (?!). We’ve now got a full complement of volunteers, so thanks everyone. We’ll be in touch with the panel members in the next few days. Thanks, everyone.

(Robin – if we all agreed, it’d be much less fun. Barbara: I’ve been slowly correcting the errors in BJ’s thinking over the past ten years, and promise to iron out the remaining ones in due course. Another ten years?)
